In 1978, Pastor Dallas Dobson and Pastor John Paisley visited Korea and spoke at the Korean Bible Baptist Fellowship Conference. In that meeting, they saw the hunger the Koreans had for the Gospel and many were saved. As a result of that meeting, Pastor Dobson had a burden for the Korean souls in our area.
After a lot of prayers and visitation, Pastor DaeHyun Kim was brought to the United States in April 1980, and the first Riverview Baptist Korean Church service was held in June. Since that first service, Pastor Jangyeon Lee, Pastor Heewon Park and Pastor Kookbong Lee have served the Lord and the Korean people in this area as our Pastors. Currently, Pastor Sangyeol Kim is our Pastor, having served since March, 2000.
Riverview Baptist Korean Church supports 20 missionaries around the world. Three of our members have graduated from Bible College and are serving the Lord.
Pastor Kim visits Korean families in the local Tri-Cities area of Pasco, Kennewick and Richland, and also the Walla Walla, Hermiston/Umatilla, Sunnyside and Wenatchee areas.
Pastor Kim broadcasts live on KOLU 90.1 FM on Sunday afternoon at 5:05 PM Pacific U.S. time. He can be heard live on the Internet at that time at
